Reaver's Task

That tickles...What was that just then? He removes his hand from the orb and presses it against his leg to stave off the bleeding.

Ha! Give me that thing!
He rushes over to Dredge and takes the orb from him
Yes now... you have to recite the pledge to me so that my power will increase as well!
Though happiness is an emotion rarely seen in a Revenant, Reaver begins to smile with the promise of power

Um sure...Dredge strolls to the book and begins reading aloud....
Do you swear loyalty to the Raven Queen and will you commit yourself to do her biding?

Yes.
As soon as Reaver finishes speaking, the orb glows in a dark blue light that begins to pulsate. As the pulsing light get faster, the light begins to engulf Reaver in an aura of dark blue light. After completely covering Reaver in light, the light instantly dissipates and Reaver feels a surge of energy running through him. As soon as it passes, he experiences a flashback of his past life: He is standing in the same room making the same pledge and the same thing happens. But this time it is accompanied by slaying an innocent man in an act of commitment to the Raven Queen. Reaver feels anger towards the ones who performed the ritual and towards the Raven Queen herself, but he can't figure out why. The vision passes away and he is left with a confused look on his face.
Hmm...I feel stronger, but confused. I know we are supposed to slay the paladins though. So perhaps we should press on...

Oh come on Dredge, it's all in your mind... We should be on our way...
As Reaver and Dredge leave the tomb, Reaver notices a rolled up piece of paper on one of the Gaurds outside. He picks it up and inspect it for a moment.
Reaver shows Dredge the map....

Yeah...I guess it is all in my mind. I am still cold though. Dredge shoulders his scythe. Well lets get goin...I feel like I am forgetting something.

Still deep in thought he finally remembers. Chilly!

Alright, lets get going towards this place labeled "guard". If there's something the paladin's are trying to protect, it's probably worth checking out. Let's go!

The two venture north to the forest outside of Old Lightville. Once they come upon the clearing in the treeline, they make their way down the path to the guarded cave. As they approach, two large armored Paladins stand guard outside the cave. The two Revenants remain concealed while they plan their next move...

As soon as the words came out of Dredge's mouth, a mysterious raven with red glowing eyes swoops down from above and sets down on the ground in front of Dredge.

I don't suppose you mean that raven do you???

Nope,  but I shall name it Chilly,  unless he is undead like me.  He died in my hands.  He begins to sob quietly and calls for the Raven to land on his shoulder.
