The small bird disappears in a flash of brilliant light. The ruby crystal begins to glow red, then the whole sphere shakes... it shakes again...then shakes a final time. A happy noise lets you know that not only that the ritual is complete but successful as well.

What a fascinating creature. Perhaps I can find some way to communicate with it. Ronin thinks to himself. He keeps his distance in an effort to frighten the creature and thinks very friendly thoughts.

The creature sends you pictures in your mind: one of a place where Pneomoks live in harmony with the humans who live there, another of a strange portal, and the last corrupted Pneomoks destroying a village. You can sense it's desire to help, but it is scared of the pneoballs strapped to Ronin's belt.

Ronin keeps his mind calm and steady in order to not cause fear to the creature. He attempts to ask to creature for help in order to fight the darkness. And patiently waits to see how the creature will respond to him.

The creature accepts your off and now understands what must be done, it teleports next to Ronin and touches a Pneoball on his belt. Ronin can feel the device shake then it glows red.

Due to the nature of the capture you can now use the Hocus in battle. It has hp equal to your healing surge value, and you can heal it outside of battle with a healing surge to full hp. You can give it the following commands in battle: at will, Calm mind - target creatures Will goes up equal to your intelligence mod until the end of your next turn. At will, Psybeam - INT vs Will range 5, on hit 1d8 + int mod. Encounter - psychic blast, same as Psybeam but close blast 3. Intrinsic nature, plus 1 Dmg to attacks with the psycic keyword, if you do not give it a command it teleports to a square range 5 and uses calm mind on itself, you gain vulnerable 5 psycic Dmg. It has movement 5 teleport. You can recall it back into its Pneoball as a minor action. You can summon a Pneomok using a major action once per encounter. If the Pneomok dies in battle you can revive it using 2 healing surges.
