Ronin heads towards the noise. He is curious, and wants to assure his little friend that there is nothing to be afraid of.

Suddenly a swarm of smallish insects attack. The notebook begins to describe to Ronin the creature that is attacking.

This insect type Pneomok has a deadly poison stinger on its head. It's bright colors are meant to ward off attackers.

GO ABRA! Ronin shouts as he tosses the sphere containing his small friend. He readies his mind for battle against his the swarm.

All the little insects curl up and die horrible painful deaths. :'(

Ronin is slightly sad having quickly destroyed the creatures without thinking about any alternative. He will certainly calm himself before quickly jumping into battle against mindless creatures. He pets his vulfox and asks Abra to return to the ball. He prepares to continue moving through the swamp.

You hear a creature scurry north.

Ronin turns North towards the sound. He steps carefully in this rough terain. He continues to look around not wanting to be caught unaware in this area.

You see no sign of the creature, or anything at all. An eerie calm sets into the air.

An eerie calm seems to have set in the air, Ronin thinks to himself. He turns back east and continues on.

Ronin approaches a clearer area in the swamp, and can see a small pond to the north. In the middle of the pond is a small island with a single lonely tree. To the south he sees more swamp, actually there is swamp in every direction, but it all looks the same.

Ronin heads towards this pond with this island.

He continues on trudging through the swamp, and comes upon the edge of the muddy, gross, nasty, murky, dark, spooky, and muddy pond with the island in the middle.

Ronin does not fear the muddy, gross, nasty, murky, dark, and spooky pond. He comforts his small friend and sets off into the water.
